Shah Rukh Khan is having a tough time after his son Aryan Khan’s arrest in the Mumbai cruise drug case. Many stars have come out in support of Badshah Khan and his son in these difficult times. Joining the bandwagon is the veteran actor and now politician Shatrughan Sinha.
Shatrughan Sinha holds a view that Aryan Khan is paying the price of being Shah Rukh Khan’s son and that he is being targeted as people want to settle scores with SRK.
Raising questions on NCB’s arrest of Aryan Khan, Sinha took a dig at a few actors like Akshay Kumar and others who have maintained silence on the matter till now. Shatrughan has also tagged the film industry as a ‘bunch of scared folks’. He slammed the industry actors staying quiet while everyone else is taking a clear stand.
In conversation with ETimes, Shatrughan Sinha said, “Nobody wants to come forward. Everyone thinks it’s the other person’s problem and he should deal with it. They want the person to fight his own battle. The industry is a bunch of scared folks. Just like the godi media they are godi kalakars.”
For the unknown, ‘Godi media’ is an informal term developed by PM Narendra Modi’s opposition. It describes some media channels that are all praises for Modi and take orders from him instead of showing the truth. Now Sinha has coined a similar term ‘Godi kalakars’ for some Bollywood actors who never speak against Modi and his government.
Sinha has also mentioned NCP leader Nawab Malik’s name. He has asked SRK not to forget him and to be thankful to Malik. Nawab has reportedly questioned the motive of NCB after two BJP linked people were spotted in NCB’s office. Even though Sinha didn’t mention it directly, through Nawab Malik’s reference, he hinted that the party in power and their media channels are targeting Khan.
Meanwhile, Bollywood celebrities like Akshay Kumar and Anupam Kher are known to be close to Narendra Modi, and they are yet to give their opinion on the Aryan Khan case.
