When asked why, Alia Bhatt explained that she is socially introvert and needs to show it very real. She claimed that unless the subject gets quite profound, she will not speak at all. The actress from Gangubai Kathiawadi opened up further on this by sharing:
“I’m very awkward. I’m rarely buzzing, which is why my wedding also had just 40 people. I need to have a real, deep conversation or else I don’t talk.”
The actress continued by saying that while she is not a showoff personality, she finds it tough to strike up conversations at parties and events. In addition, the actress admitted that she struggles in groups larger than seven. Regarding this, Alia Bhatt shared:
“I’m not superficial. I find it very hard to go to parties and make small talk. I’m like, ‘Okay, we’re not talking to each other, you know, with any kind of seriousness. This conversation is not gonna matter.’ It’s why I’m very bad at gatherings with more than seven people.”

In an interview with India Today, Rahul shared, “Interestingly, there were not seven pheras at the wedding, but rather four. There was a unique pandit there. He then gave an explanation of each phera’s significance. It was incredibly exciting because ‘ek hota hain dharm ke liye” and “ek hota hain santaan ke liye.’ We are not familiar with this. I hail from an ethnically diverse family. That was therefore fascinating. For the record, there were only 4 pheras rather than 7. And I was throughout present in all four pheras.”
