Bollywood rapper Badshah has landed in a major controversy over his song Tateeree, which has triggered strict action from the Haryana Police. While the Punjab and Haryana High Court has granted him relief by staying his arrest, authorities have cracked down heavily on the song’s circulation across digital platforms. In a significant move, the Haryana Police confirmed that 857 online links related to Tateeree have been taken down.

The action was initiated following an FIR registered in Panchkula on March 6. Authorities have also issued notices to social media platforms, directing them to remove all versions of the song, including re-uploads and short-form content. Senior police officials have issued a stern warning to the public. According to media reports, Additional Director General of Police, anyone found creating or sharing Reels using the song could face serious consequences.

The police emphasized that the song contains objectionable content, particularly referencing women and minors, which has prompted this strict enforcement. The case took a turn when the court was informed on March 19 that Badshah had joined the investigation. Authorities also indicated that the Look Out Notice issued against him may be withdrawn.

Badshah had earlier approached the Punjab and Haryana High Court, seeking to quash the notice and halt proceedings initiated by the Haryana State Commission for Women. Two FIRs have been registered against the singer in Haryana in connection with the controversial track. Haryana DGP Ajay Singhal stated that the action aligns with the state government’s policy to ensure women’s dignity and maintain a safe digital environment.

Authorities have intensified cyber monitoring, urging citizens to report any content related to the song immediately. Officials reiterated that any material deemed offensive or harmful, especially toward women and minors, will not be tolerated. Amid the backlash, Badshah, whose real name is Aditya Prateek Singh Sisodia has shared an apology video on social media. He is currently cooperating with the ongoing investigation.
