Abhishek Bachchan On His Struggles In Bollywood And His Father Who Works At The Age Of 80

In the podcast of ‘The Ranveer Show’, Abhishek Bachchan said about his father Amitabh Bachchan and the struggle in the industry, “You are talking to a person who comes from a privileged background. About whom I know and appreciate a lot. I work every day to not disrespect that lineage. Talking about his father, Abhishek further said, “This lineage was given to me by a man who left a good paying job and came to Mumbai, slept on the Marine Drive benches at nights and entered the film industry, which is all Went to India Radio but the voice was rejected. He lost but he fought and made his way, and paid his dues. He used to work 16 to 18 hours a day which continues even today at the age of 80.” Abhishek said, “so stay humble because your work matters here.”

Recalling an anecdote with his father, Abhishek Bachchan said, “One day after seeing the fans outside the house, he asked his father that how do you feel the crowd is coming for you for so many years.” A day after this, Amitabh told Abhishek Bachchan that the only thought that runs in my mind is do you think he will come next Sunday. Abhishek said that he was happy with this reaction because that’s what teaches you that you can’t be complacent even on this situation, you can’t take anything lightly.

While praising his father, Abhishek Bachchan said, this is Amitabh Bachchan. There is no other bigger star and better actor in this world than him. He have such attitude towards work so I have to work hard because these people have to come back.

Recalling the anecdote of the premiere league of the film Refugee, Abhishek Bachchan said, “When I reached the premiere of the film Refugee, the entire Bollywood was invited there. He said that I remember that I was passing through the main gate that Yash Chopra was standing there. I took his blessings, he hugged me and said ‘Remember and respect this thing that your father has brought you here’ After this he told me, from here you will have to walk on your feet alone, because if your film is not good tonight, tomorrow morning they will know and no one will go to see the film.” This is true whether you like it or not.
