Gadot explained that the episode began when she was juggling a packed schedule of work, family life, and her pregnancy. She said, “Last year, my life took a strange turn. I was eight months pregnant… Then I started having headaches that made the world stop for three weeks.” Seeing her daughter in pain, Gadot’s mother urged her to get an MRI in February 2024, a decision that ended up saving her life.

The MRI results came back urgently. Before Gadot even reached home, she received a call from her doctor, “My doctor said, ‘You have to come to the hospital immediately. This is serious. You have a huge clot in your brain.’” Gadot said she was instantly overwhelmed. English slipped out of her mind as fear took over. Her only thoughts were, “Am I going to die? Is this what dying feels like? Will they save me? Will the baby be okay?”

She was diagnosed with Cerebral Venous Thrombosis (CVT) a rare but dangerous blood clot disorder. Within just three hours of the diagnosis, Gadot gave birth to her daughter. The next morning, while her husband held their newborn, doctors performed the procedure to remove the clot and save the actress’s life. Gadot recalls the moment she woke up, “I realized I’d been given two gifts, my daughter in my arms, and a second chance in my heart.”
