Jennifer Winget is one of the most sought-after actresses on television. In 2012, Jennifer broke many hearts when she got married to her Dill Mill Gaye co-star Karan Singh Grover. The marriage, however, did not work out for a long time and the two parted ways in 2014. Over the years, Jennifer remain tight-lipped about her separation but recently, she has opened up about how she dealt with her divorce. She has revealed that it was a good decision for both of them as they weren’t ready to enter that phase of life then.

“I think both of us were not ready. It’s not just him (Karan Singh Grover) or it’s not just me, both of us weren’t ready to take that step. We had been friends for so long. We were like a house on fire every time we met. But I think it was an unfortunate timing I guess,” she stated.

Further in the interview, Jennifer revealed that she was quite lost and confused post her divorce. Talking about how she cut out people from her life, Jennifer said that firstly she was forced by some of her friends to go out to change her mood a bit, and then she was looked at with sympathetic eyes by people there. She told the portal that this behavior did irritate her a lot.

“I was so lost and confused that I didn’t know what to tell people or how to process that. I remember my friends used to force me to go out and I’m like I don’t want to go. So one day I went out and I’m like in a club.. not a club really but it was a restaurant which was packed and you know the minute I enter, a lot of friends and people from the industry were there and they all look at me with those sad puppy eyes which I’m very thankful and respectful for their wishes and blessings and all of that,” said the actress.

Furthermore, Jennifer quoted, “But whenever I used to go out, I used to see people looking at me with those sad, sympathetic eyes like ‘aare bichari yaar’ and it used to piss me off even more. That’s why I would not go out. I understand you’re feeling for me, it’s great but I don’t need that right now. Right now I’m not ready to deal with you because I’m dealing with me. So that’s why I cut off from people and once I was done with it, then I am so done with it.”
