Actor Mallika Sherawat has grabbed attention ahead of The Traitors Season 2 after making a surprising claim about Hollywood star Tom Cruise. In a clip from the upcoming reality show, Mallika said Cruise has a crush on her and claimed that he sends her videos from occasions when they partied together. The revelation left fellow contestants Abhishek Malhan and Aaditya Kulshreshth visibly curious.
The conversation began when comedian Aaditya Kulshreshth, popularly known as Kullu, asked Mallika whether she had ever had a crush on someone or whether people generally had crushes on her. Mallika responded confidently that “everyone” ends up having a crush on her before naming Tom Cruise.

“Tom Cruise ko aaya hua hai aajkal,” she said, claiming that the Hollywood actor currently has a crush on her. When the other contestants appeared surprised, Mallika insisted that she was not joking.
She further claimed that she could show them evidence if she had her phone with her. “Jhooth nahi bol rahi, mere paas phone hota toh videos dikhaati uske,” Mallika said, suggesting that Cruise had sent her videos.
H
er statement prompted Kullu and Abhishek Malhan to ask what kind of videos the actor allegedly sends her. Mallika clarified that they were videos from occasions when the two had been partying together. She then described Cruise as “fabulous”.
Mallika’s statement has nevertheless generated considerable buzz just ahead of the premiere of The Traitors Season 2. The second season of the reality series is hosted by Karan Johar and brings together celebrities who are divided into secret groups of “Traitors” and “Innocents”. Contestants must navigate alliances, deception and eliminations while attempting to identify the hidden Traitors.

The upcoming season features a large ensemble of contestants, including Mallika, Munawar Faruqui, Shweta Tiwari, Rhea Chakraborty, Abhishek Malhan, Krystle D’Souza, Parul Gulati, Dalip Tahil, Shahneel Gill, Shalini Passi, Ranveer Brar, Harman Baweja and rapper Ikka, among others. The show is scheduled to premiere on Prime Video on August 13.
Mallika has also spoken about why she agreed to participate in The Traitors after initially being reluctant to join a reality show. She said she was not particularly interested in the format at first, but changed her mind after watching the first season. The actress said she liked the show’s emphasis on strategy and freedom rather than being confined to a house.
She has also ruled out participating in Bigg Boss, explaining that she does not like the idea of being locked inside a house. Her comments about The Traitors suggest that the freedom to move around and play a strategic game was an important factor in her decision to join the show.
