Mallika Sherawat has responded to trolls questioning her performance on The Traitors Season 2, saying she was underestimated by fellow contestants and viewers but used silence and observation as her strategy on the reality show.
In a video shared on Instagram, Mallika said that when she entered The Traitors, people assumed she had joined the show to “catwalk” or go on a vacation and questioned how she would identify a traitor.
She said she deliberately relied on silence rather than speaking unnecessarily. According to Mallika, she quietly observed the contestants and eventually identified a female contestant whom she suspected of being a traitor. She said her suspicion turned out to be correct.
“Mallika bold hai, par bewakoof nahi,” she said in the video, adding that she may have been having fun on the show but was observing everything.
Sharing the video, Mallika wrote, “I may have been having fun, but I was watching everything.”
The Traitors Season 2 is hosted by Karan Johar and features contestants divided into “Innocents” and “Traitors”. The Innocents have to identify and eliminate the Traitors, while the Traitors attempt to remain undetected and eliminate the Innocents.
According to NDTV, six episodes had been released at the time of its report. The Innocents had identified Harman Singha and Kullu as traitors, while Shahneel Gill and Krystle D’Souza remained among the undiscovered Traitors. Parul Gulati, Ranveer Brar and Abhishek Malhan had also been eliminated from the competition.
