Priyanka Chopra’s Cousin, Meera Accused Of Using Fake ID

By Rahael Mathew

The entire country is in lurch due to Covid 19 and the rat race for vaccines gets tougher everyday due to low supplies. Thousands of men and women who could potentially be tagged under the critical badge for severe disease are waiting patiently for their turn to get vaccinated.

The Thane Police station received a complaint from a BJP leader against Actress Meera Chopra. The complaint stated that the Indian Actress had created a fake id to register and get the vaccine jab.

Further it adds , that the actress registered as a frontline supervisor at a private firm, duplicating a photo ID card. While the police are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the allegation, the actress released a statement.

The first tweet stated the following, “ “We all want to get vaccinated and we all are trying our best to do that. Similarly, I also tried by asking help from people I knew and after 1 month of trying I was able to get myself registered in one of the centres. I was just asked to send in my Aadhaar card. The ID that has been floating on social media is not mine… I totally condemn such practices and if any such ID has been made I would want to know how and why.”

With the increased traffic and tweets against the actress, another statement was tweeted against the complainant, “ To all the bjp personnel and spokesperson who have suddenly become interested in my twitter account. Thank you so much for showing ur interest, but dont try to make me a scapegoat for ur animosity to the ruling party here. I just got a vaccine done and that has nothing to do with politics”.

While we are waiting for the police to complete their investigation, it is integral that other people don’t use this accusation to cause more stress to the medical infrastructure.
