Samantha rules the headlines not only for her professional life but for her relationships too. Her separation from her husband Naga Chaitanya broke millions of hearts. Post that, Samantha is often seen sharing her thoughts on life and positive words from her mother on her social media handle.
On Saturday morning, the actress shared a post about acceptance in life. She put out a quote by Cheryl Strayed that can be read as, “Most things will be okay, but not everything will be. Sometimes you will put up a good fight and lose. Sometimes you’ll hold on hard and realize there is no choice but to let go. Acceptance is a small, quiet room.”
In October, Samantha announced a split from her husband Naga Chaitanya. The two were married for three years. After deciding to go separate paths, Samantha was spotted traveling to multiple locations with her close friends. Photos from her Char Dham Yatra in Uttarakhand went viral on the internet.
On the work front, Samantha will now be seen playing a lead role in the Hollywood film, Arrangements of Love, an adaptation of Timeri N Murari’s bestselling novel by the same name. According to Variety, BAFTA-winning Welsh director Philip John will be helming the project. It will be produced by Sunita Tat’s Indian outfit Guru Films.
The film follows a Welsh-Indian man searching for his estranged father with an impromptu visit to his homeland. Samantha will portray a sharp-minded, funny force of nature, who runs her detective agency and becomes part of the quest. Her character is touted as a “progressive bisexual Tamil woman, with ultra-traditional parents, who want her to have an arranged marriage.”
While talking about the project, Samantha shared her excitement and said, “A whole new world opens up for me today as I start my journey with Arrangements of Love, which has such an endearing and personal story. I am excited to work with Philip John, whose projects I have closely followed for many years, being a big fan of Downton Abbey. I am looking forward to collaborating with Sunitha once again and I hope for only more success than we previously had with Oh! Baby. My role is a complex character and it will be both a challenge and an opportunity for me to play it. I cannot wait to get on set.”
