The son of legendary actor-filmmaker Mehmood, Lucky Ali made his foray into the Indian music industry very late. He was 37 years old when his first album Suno was released in 1996. He became very famous overnight by singing two superhit songs in the film ‘Kaho Na Pyaar Hai’ in the year 2000. After this, he also tried his luck in acting. The actor ventured into acting with films like ‘Kaante’ and ‘Sur’. However, after singing a song in the film ‘Tamasha’ released in the year 2015, he distanced himself from Bollywood.

The films that are being made these days lack inspiration and I think there is nothing to learn from such films. During this, the singer had told that he does not like the kind of films being made these days.

For this reason, he said goodbye to this industry. Lucky Ali had said, ‘The films of this generation are making a bad impact on the society. People are turning violent because they are inspired by what is being shown in the movies. I believe that less patience and greed are being promoted through films.’
