Sharing a picture of Bobby Deol alongside his wife Tanya Deol, Esha expressed her admiration for her brother’s performance in the film.

Well done, Bhaiya!” She also encouraged moviegoers to catch the film on the big screen, adding, “Go watch Bandar!” Bobby later reshared the post on his Instagram Stories, acknowledging his sister’s support. Directed by acclaimed filmmaker Anurag Kashyap and produced by Nikhil Dwivedi’s production banner Saffron Magicworks, Bandar is inspired by real-life events and features Bobby Deol in a challenging lead role.

The crime thriller also stars, Sanya Malhotra, Saba Azad, Sapna Pabbi, Indrajith Sukumaran, Raj B. Shetty, and Jitendra Joshi. The film follows the story of an aging television star whose life spirals into chaos after his girlfriend accuses him of sexual harassment. The project marks Bobby Deol’s first collaboration with Anurag Kashyap. Bandar had its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival in September 2025 before arriving in cinemas on June 5.

Ahead of the film’s release, Bobby revealed that Bandar pushed him beyond his comfort zone and allowed him to explore a completely different acting style. Speaking about the experience, the actor said that he had become accustomed to playing larger-than-life characters over the years, making it challenging to adapt to a more grounded and nuanced role. He credited Anurag Kashyap for helping him transform his performance and approach the character differently.

Directed by Shiv Rawail, the action entertainer stars, Alia Bhatt, Sharvari, Anil Kapoor, and Bobby Deol. The film expands the blockbuster spy franchise that includes Ek Tha Tiger, Tiger Zinda Hai, War, Pathaan, Tiger 3 and War 2. Talking about Alpha, Bobby said he was excited to be part of a film centered around two women performing high-octane action sequences, adding that the project offers a fresh and unique cinematic experience.
