Celina Jaitly Urges Women To Secure Assets Before Marriage, Sign Prenuptial Agreements Amid Divorce Battle

Actor Celina Jaitly has urged women to protect their financial interests before marriage by securing their assets and signing prenuptial agreements. Her advice comes amid her ongoing divorce proceedings with estranged husband Peter Haag, as the actor continues to share details of her legal and personal challenges on social media.

In a detailed post, Celina advised women not to rely solely on emotions while making decisions about marriage. She said women who own property, businesses or investments should ensure their assets are legally protected before entering into marriage. Stressing the importance of financial awareness, she encouraged women to consider signing a prenuptial agreement, commonly known as a prenup, to safeguard their rights in case of future disputes.

The actor said her views stem from her own experience during the ongoing divorce case. Referring to the legal battle, Celina said she had sought only the return of her own assets and the money she had invested, while also seeking to continue joint custody of her children. She added that many women fail to realise the importance of financial independence until they find themselves involved in lengthy legal proceedings.

Celina also spoke about the emotional impact of the custody dispute involving her children. She recalled that during the proceedings, she was allegedly told to secure employment if she wished to continue meeting her children. According to the actor, the experience highlighted the need for women to remain financially independent throughout their lives, irrespective of their marital status.

The actor has been publicly documenting developments in her divorce from Austrian hotelier Peter Haag over the past several months. Earlier, she revealed that the divorce notice sent to her was written in German, a language she does not speak fluently. She said her twin sons had to read the legal notice aloud to her, describing the incident as one of the most painful moments of the ongoing legal battle.

Celina has also alleged that she was advised to take up a supermarket cleaning job in Austria if she wanted continued access to her children. The actor made the claims while discussing the challenges she has faced during the cross-border divorce proceedings. The allegations are part of the wider legal dispute between the couple, which includes issues related to child custody and financial matters.

The divorce case between Celina and Peter Haag has been underway since last year. The actor has initiated legal proceedings in India, while separate proceedings are also taking place in Austria. The case includes disputes over custody of their children, financial claims and other legal issues arising from the separation.

Celina married Peter Haag in 2011, and the couple have three children together. In recent months, she has frequently shared updates about the legal proceedings and has spoken about the emotional and financial challenges she says she has experienced during the separation.

Through her latest message, the actor reiterated her advice that women should prioritise financial security before marriage by protecting their assets and understanding the legal implications of marital agreements. She said informed financial decisions can help safeguard personal interests and reduce complications if a marriage later results in legal disputes.
