Sunita Ahuja has reiterated that she has no intention of leaving husband Govinda despite longstanding rumours surrounding his alleged infidelity, saying trust remains the foundation of their marriage. Speaking after her exit from Lock Upp 2, Sunita said she has accepted that “no hero is perfect” and maintained that she would continue to stand by the actor regardless of speculation surrounding their relationship.
Sunita became the first contestant to leave Lock Upp 2 after exiting the reality show on health grounds. During the “Judgment Day” episode, Govinda and their daughter Tina Ahuja entered the show to accompany her out of the house. Soon after her exit, Sunita reflected on her marriage and addressed questions that had surfaced during her stay in the reality show.
Responding to rumours that have followed the couple for years, Sunita said she has complete faith in Govinda despite allegations linking him to other women. She stated that trust is the most important aspect of any relationship and added that she does not believe every rumour that circulates about celebrities. According to Sunita, “Bharosa bahut badi cheez hai,” emphasising that faith in one’s partner is what keeps a marriage together.
Speaking about allegations of infidelity, Sunita said that no film hero is completely flawless. “Koi hero doodh ka dhula nahi hoga,” she remarked, suggesting that people should not expect public figures to be perfect. Despite acknowledging that rumours have persisted over the years, she made it clear that separation has never been an option for her.
Sunita also reflected on the challenges of maintaining a long marriage in the entertainment industry. She said relationships require patience, understanding and the willingness to move forward despite difficulties. According to her, every marriage goes through ups and downs, but mutual trust and commitment remain the deciding factors in keeping a family together.
