Gumshuda Ki Talash: Sunny Deol’s Missing Posters Appears In Pathankot, Punjab!

A “Missing” poster of BJP MP and Bollywood actor Sunny Deol appeared in Pathankot, Punjab. “Gumshuda ki talash” posters were affixed to the walls of several houses, stations and vehicles in the city in front of the Gurdaspur Parliament.

Sunny Deol won the 2019 general election with BJP votes. Those who put up the banner said that Deol had not been to Gurdaspur since he became a member of parliament. The angry people said if Sunny Deol does not want to work, he should resign.

According to News agency ANI, local people are saying, “Since he became a member of parliament, he has never visited Gurdaspur. He calls himself the son of Punjab, but he does not promote industrial development, does not finance parliamentarians, and does not bring the programs of the central government here.”If you don’t want to work, you should resign,“they added.

Since Deol was elected to the Constituent Assembly, Deol has been criticized by rival parties. The actor-turned-politician last visited the Gurdaspur Pathankot sector in September 2020 to meet with senior officials to discuss the COVID-19 pandemic and other issues. He also met with selected people from the general public. The next visit took place six months after the previous visit. However, he avoided public speaking due to growing anger among farmers over the repeal of three major agricultural laws.

Deol also did not campaign for the candidate of the BJP and its allies in the recent Punjab general election. In the entire Majha region, the BJP was only able to secure one seat, Pathankot. At this meeting, BJP Chairman Ashwani Sharma elected the MLA.
