Coronavirus

The IMA said in a statement that the arrival of tourists, pilgrimages, religious fervor is necessary but they can wait for a few more months. The doctors’ association said global evidence and the history of any pandemic suggest that a third wave is “inevitable and imminent”.

However, it is sad to mention that at this critical time, when everyone needs to act to reduce the chances of a third wave, in many parts of the country, governments and people are lax and People are gathering in large numbers without following the covid protocol. Tourist arrivals, pilgrimages, and religious fervor are all necessary but can wait a few months.

Coronavirus

IMA said that allowing such things to happen and allowing people to join this crowd without getting vaccinated can contribute a lot to the third wave of Covid. The statement came amidst talks of allowing Kanwar Yatra in Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand on the day the annual Rath Yatra begins in Odisha’s Puri. The IMA has appealed to all the states to stop the overcrowding of people.
