Grabbing the headlines yet again is none other than the Bollywood beauty Kareena Kapoor Khan. As per the reports, the A-list actor is charging a whopping amount of 12 Crores to play the role of Goddess Sita in her upcoming project. The film is a mythological drama that will be directed by Alaukik Desai.

A close source stated the same and said, “Sita will need at least 8-10 months of prep, shoot, and production. So, Bebo will be completely consumed by one film at that point but she also realizes that this will be her biggest magnum opus to date, as it’s a retelling of Ramayana from Sita’s point of view.”

The source further stated, “Bebo, who usually charges in the Rs 6-8 crores range for her films, has quoted a sum of Rs. 12 crores which has put the producers in a tizzy. In fact, right now, they are reconsidering their decision and also taking the film to a younger actress, as well. But talks are on and Bebo remains the first choice.”

Well, going by the reports, seems like Bollywood heroines are on the path of getting equal dues as their male counterparts. Before beginning with this magnum opus, Bebo will be shooting for Veere Di Wedding 2 and Hansal Mehta’s untitled film. Both these films will be wrapped up in a short period of time.

The news of Bebo portraying Sita on-screen has sent her fans into a frenzy. They cannot keep calm to watch the beauty acing the role of Goddess. The role is a retelling of the mythological saga from a woman’s point of view.

Talking about her upcoming releases, Kareena will be seen alongside Aamir Khan in Advait Chandan’s Laal Singh Chaddha. The film is an adaptation of a 1994 American film named Forrest Gump which starred Tom Hanks. Kareena will also play a pivotal role in Karan Johar’s multi-starrer Takht. Besides Kareena, the movie stars Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Vicky Kaushal, Jahnvi Kapoor, and Anil Kapoor.
