Skin problems are a severe concern for everyone. Every girl’s priority is her skin and also boys are conscious about their skin. In summer we all face uneven skin or dark complexion. We all had uneven or tanned lines on the face but we wish that we could just wash off it. But getting rid of tan is quite difficult.

Why do we get tanning?

UV radiation is what makes people tan. Melanin is the chemical responsible for skin darkening or tanning. The skin releases melanin under the surface layers of your skin to help absorb UV radiation. The more exposure UV rays get from the sun the more melanin your body releases and darker skin you get. 

How to prevent your skin from tanning?

The best way to lighten a tan from your skin. Protect your skin and prevent unwanted tanning from proper sun protection. Always wear a hat. Sun-protective clothes like full sleeve clothes, avoid bright and dark colors. Sunscreen when going out.

The American Academy of Dermatology recommends that sunscreen should be reapplied every two hours. Using sunscreen every day is the best protection of skin.

Some remedies for lightening a tan: These remedies can help you fade a tan:

Exfoliation: Gently scrubbing with a homemade scrub can help lighten the tone of your skin by removing dead skin cells.

Aloe vera: Aloe vera helps to soothe sunburn. Aloe vera releases melanin and reduces pigmentation. 

Turmeric: Turmeric contains antioxidants and anti-inflammatory components. Turmeric may also revive your skin by bringing out its natural glow. Turmeric has skin skin-lightening that helps you get rid of dark spots effectively without causing any side effects.

Black Tea: As per the researcher, black tea is more effective in reducing wrinkles and tanning than other types of tea. Drinking or applying tea bags on the face protects skin from wrinkles and aging reduces. 

Coconut milk: Coconut milk is highly nourishing and hydrating for the skin.  It helps to protect the lost moisture of the skin.

Oatmeal and buttermilk: Oatmeal has excellent exfoliating and skin cleansing elements which improve skin tone and make skin soften.

Saffron and milk: Saffron is a traditional beauty ingredient found in Indian households. Saffron is a natural way to get glowing skin. It improves skin texture, dark circles, pimples and lightens darkened skin.

Cucumber: Reduces swelling, puffiness and hydrates the skin. Cucumber can help to lighten white skin.

Honey: Honey helps balance the bacteria of the skin and is best used for acne.

Gram flour: Gram flour is really useful for tan removal. Gram flour enhances skin fairness.
