Actress Jacqueline Fernandez has got interim bail in the money laundering case related to Sukesh Chandrashekhar. Earlier, Jacqueline Fernandez appeared in Patiala Court on Monday in the case of extortion of Rs 200 crore. The court has granted this bail on a personal bond of 50,000.

Earlier, the Enforcement Directorate (ED), which was probing the case against Sukesh, had questioned Jacqueline for eight hours. Their troubles escalated when the investigating agency presented the actress as an accused in the chargesheet filed on August 17.Jacqueline is accused of allegedly gifting jewelery worth over Rs 7 crore from Sukesh Chandrashekhar. Apart from this, many expensive cars, expensive bags, clothes, shoes and expensive watches were gifted to the actress and her family members. Conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar, who is currently in jail, is accused of duping several high-profile individuals such as Aditi Singh, wife of Shivinder Mohan Singh, former Fortis Healthcare promoter.

Earlier in a statement to the ED, Jacqueline had said that the thug Sukesh introduced himself as the owner of Sun TV and a member of an influential political family in Chennai. The actress had given an on record statement that she was gifted with limited edition perfume every week, flowers every other day, designer bag, diamond earrings besides Sukesh Chandrashekhar gifted her a Mini Cooper. Apart from Jacqueline, ED had also summoned Pinky Irani. Pinky Irani is accused of helping Jacqueline talk to Sukesh. But during interrogation, there was a big difference in the statements of both. Due to which the suspicion of ED deepened even more.

Actress and dancer Nora Fatehi was also called several times by the ED for questioning. Although Nora’s name is not included in the list of accused and Jacqueline also targeted her. Jacqueline had also raised questions that if my name is in the charge sheet then why not Nora. Talking about Jacqueline’s film career, she is working in Cirkus and Ram Setu. Akshay Kumar, Nushrratt Bharuccha and Satya Dev are working with him in Ram Setu. The film is releasing on 25October.
