Actor Ranveer Singh called his wife, actor Deepika Padukone ‘very gharelu (Homebody).’ He added that she loves playing the role of a housewife. In a new interview, Ranveer said that he finds it ‘very endearing.’

He teased her that she is like a ‘little girl with a dollhouse’. The actor talked about how they love spending time together in their new home, which they recently bought.

Earlier this year, Ranveer bought a house worth Rs 119 crore in Mumbai after four years of their marriage. He started dating Deepika in 2012. They tied the knot in Italy’s Lake Como in November 2018. They acted together in many films including Bajirao Mastani, Padmaavat, and 83.

Ranveer said in a recent interview that they bought their first house together. They are building their home. He said that he moved into her place after the wedding. It has been about four years. But this is their first home together. He added, “Because she’s so busy with everything she does and I’m also busy, and she’s very homely.”

He further added, “She’s very gharelu. We don’t go out much and we love spending time with each other at home. So, this home that we’ve gotten is a couple of hours outside the city; it’s quiet, it’s secluded and it really is the perfect place for us to spend our quality time.”

Ranveer said that she has put her heart into decorating it. She is very house-proud. He loves observing that child-like excitement in her. He encourages her to do it more. She is a closeted interior decorator with a lot of fluid creativity.

He concluded, “I tease her that she’s like a little girl with a doll house. She loves playing homemaker, and I find that extremely endearing. So, at this moment, I just want to spend quality time with my wife at home.”
