‘Should Not Be Allowed To Fool Public’: KRK Calls Anupam Kher, Vivek Agnihotri ‘Propaganda Masters’

Since its release, The Kashmir Files has faced controversies. The film is a big blockbuster. But it received little support from members of Bollywood. A lot has happened from The Kapil Sharma Show to invitations to enter the Oscars. IFFI Jury Chief Nadav Lapid called the film ‘obscene.’ Film critic KRK is backing his comments against the film as well as Anupam Kher, and Vivek Agnihotri.

This happened at the closing ceremony of the International Film Festival of India 2022. It was held in Goa. There were 15 films in competition. Nadav Lapid praised the remaining 14, calling them ‘cinematic experiences.’ But when it came to The Kashmir Files, he used words like ‘propaganda,’ ‘obscene,’  and ‘inappropriate’ for ‘artistic competition.’

Now backing up his comments, KRK took to his Twitter handle. He shared another controversial tweet. He tweeted, “Head of the jury of #IFFI53Goa called film #KashmirFiles a propaganda and vulgar movie. It is the best thing to do on the face of propaganda masters #AnupamKher and #VivekAgnihotri. Nobody should be allowed to fool public by a propaganda film.”

Twitter users commented, “Unfollowing you!” “The jury in question is an Israeli and Islamist are going gaga over him,” “Apna asli rang mat dikha bhai,” “BKL ask any kashmiri pandit what happened to them and then give this C gyaan” etc.

On the other hand, Anupam Kher took to Twitter to respond to the tweet made by KRK. He said, “No matter how high the height of the lie is… It is always small in comparison to the truth.”  He wrote this in Hindi.
