Vanessa Hudgens Responds To Joke About Ex Austin Butler Speaking In Elvis Presley Accent!

Vanessa Hudgens had some opinions after people pointed out that her ex Austin Butler’s voice seems to have altered since his depiction of Elvis Presley in 2022’s Elvis. Find out what she said.

Since Austin Butler won the 2023 Golden Globe for his flawless portrayal of the iconic Elvis Presley in his movie Elvis, viewers have been wondering why he still sounds like Elvis after production has concluded.

Austin Butler’s vocal tutor, Irene Bartlett, even opened out about Austin’s Elvis accent and the transition in his current speaking voice. This time, Austin’s ex-girlfriend Vanessa Hudgens chimed in on the trending issue.

Vanessa and Austin were originally linked in 2011, after which they dated for a short time. However, the pair split in 2020.

Austin Butler’s voice coach, who helped him with his voice and accent, revealed out about the likely reason why he still sounds like Elvis even now in an interview with ABC Gold Coast and said,

He worked on it all the time due to COVID shutdowns, and it’s tough to turn off something you’ve worked so hard on.

He was dressed in 1950s attire when he arrived for his singing lessons. He was never going to be an Elvis impersonation, and neither was [director] Baz Luhrmann. What they needed was a genuine connection with Elvis’ personality and narrative, and Austin worked hard to achieve it.”

When Austin’s voice coach was questioned if he was faking his accent, he said, She responded, “I apologize that people perceive it as acting. He has really adopted the voice.”

He has genuinely adopted the voice.” “I’m not sure how long that will continue or whether it will be there forever.” “What you witnessed in that Golden Globes speech, that’s him,” Irene continued. It’s genuine, not staged.”

According to an Instagram post, “Austin Butler’s ‘Elvis’ accent is ‘real,’ and may persist ‘forever,'” citing the interview.

“He attended Lady Gaga’s Oscar campaign acting school,” @ryinskott commented. Vanessa Hudgens couldn’t help but reply to the screen grabbed and uploaded comment. She responded with the phrase “crying.”

Vanessa Hudgens managed to make fun of her ex-boyfriend Elvis Presley’s accent with a single phrase. The High School Musical star dated Elvis Presley for nearly nine years. While the couple split in 2020, Vanessa’s statement on Austin’s post drew a lot of attention.

Butler recently discussed how ex-friend Hudgens inspired him to seek the famous role of Elvis in the first place during a chat at The Hollywood Reporter’s Actors round table. Although the actor referred to her as a “friend,” he only had kind things to say about her and said.

The only variation between Vanessa and Austin’s versions of the identical tale was that Austin avoided mentioning ex-girlfriend Vanessa Hudgens by name. Instead, she is referred to as a “friend.”
