Diljit Dosanjh entertained a record-making crowd at Wembley on September 12, 2026, proudly declaring, “Punjabi Aa Gaye Wembley Oye!” The singer won hearts with performances of his popular tracks Lover, Born to Shine and Main Hoon Punjab. He also had a special surprise for fans in India. Diljit announced that he would bring his Aura World Tour to Ahmedabad, performing at Narendra Modi Stadium on November 21, 2026, giving fans another chance to enjoy his energetic live performance.

Diljit told an audience of over 90,000 that “ek gore group,” referring to British band Coldplay, had sold out Ahmedabad’s stadium. He praised the band, saying, “Respect for them, bahut mubarkan,” before adding that a stadium event in India could not happen without Punjabi representation. Diljit had earlier performed in Ahmedabad during his Dil-Luminati India Tour on November 17, 2024, drawing huge crowds.

In a BBC interview, the singer-actor revealed that performing at Wembley had always been a cherished dream for him. “I feel good, I feel happy, and I feel good for my people. I feel good for [the] next generation. So this Wembley Dream is not a dream anymore. Sonam Bajwa, Hina Khan and Shehnaaz Gill are reportedly set to star alongside Diljit in the film, directed by Amarjit Singh Saron. His last Punjabi film was Sardaar Ji 3, which was released in 2025. The upcoming project may attract audiences across India.
