Actor Rhea Chakraborty has revealed that her clothing label could have had a dramatically different identity. Speaking candidly about rebuilding her life after years of public scrutiny, Rhea shared that she had initially wanted to name her brand Chudail Ka Badla (The Witch’s Revenge) before finally choosing Chapter 2.

The actor made the revelation during an appearance on Neha Dhupia and Angad Bedi’s chat show Double Date. Here, she reflected on the emotional journey that led to the launch of her business alongside her brother, Showik Chakraborty.
‘I thought it was funny’: Rhea on ‘Chudail Ka Badla’
Rhea admitted she was convinced that Chudail Ka Badla would make the perfect name and even imagined an entire merchandise line around the concept.

When that idea was dropped, she considered another name Black Sheep. Rhea revealed that she even had bracelets made with the phrase because it perfectly captured how she and her brother felt after everything they had been through. They saw themselves as the “black sheep” of society during that period.
How ‘Chapter 2’ became a symbol of starting over

Rhea and Showik explained that the brand was born during a time when both of them were struggling professionally. After their legal battles and prolonged absence from work, that led them to settle on Chapter 2, a name that reflected moving forward instead of dwelling on the past.
Rhea’s difficult years and her comeback

Rhea’s life changed dramatically following the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput in 2020. She faced intense media attention, legal proceedings and a prolonged break from acting. The actor was last seen on the big screen in Chehre (2021).

She is now preparing for her comeback with Netflix’s upcoming series Family Business.
