While there have been a lot of marriages happening in the acting world recently, there has been an equal number of separations too. Many couples are calling it quits after living together for a long period. And one of them is the loved duo of Television, Aamir Ali and Sanjeeda Shaikh. The two parted ways after nine years of their marriage.

In a recent interview, Aamir opened up about his divorce from his ex-wife Sanjeeda. He shared, “It was extremely difficult at that point. After my marriage fell apart, main hil chuka tha (I was shaken). But I am a sportsman by nature, and I never give up. I have always been a happy soul, and I am glad that I am back to being that.”

Aamir and Sanjeeda went on separate paths in a dignified way. Though they are not on good terms with each other, they refrained from doing any mud-slinging in public. Regarding the same, Aamir said, “I don’t harbour ill feelings for anyone and I wish the best for my ex. Sab khush raho life mein. During the pandemic, I got a lot of time to introspect. I started looking at the positives, be it from COVID-19 or my failed relationship.”

The ex-couple welcomed a daughter named Ayra two years back via surrogacy. According to reports, Aamir has not met her for the past 10 months as Sanjeeda has not allowed the same. When questioned about it, he told the media, “It’s a sensitive topic and I don’t wish to talk about it. I don’t want to play any cards, but unfortunately, a man is always blamed. I have always maintained a dignified silence on matters related to my personal life. Someone I have spent so many years with deserves respect. So, I won’t say anything.”

Aamir Ali and Sanjeeda Sheikh got hitched in 2012 after dating for several years. They have featured in various shows like Kya Dil Mein Hai, Kya Hoga Nimmo Ka, Nach Baliye, etc.
