TV actor Yuvika Choudhary recently left the netizens fuming as she used a casteist slur in one of the videos she shared on Instagram. For the same, the Haryana Police has recently filed an FIR in her name.
Yuvika Choudhary keeps sharing photos and videos on her social media handle. But recently one of her videos did not go down well among the netizens. The social media users did not approve of the actress using a casteist slur in it. The Bigg Boss 9 contestant also released a public apology for the same but it seems like the controversy will not find cold water so soon. Recent developments on the controversy confirms that the actress has been booked by Haryana police after a Dalit rights Activist filed complaint against her.
On Friday evening, Haryana police lodged an FIR against Yuvika Choudhary under the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of atrocities) Act after Dalit Rights Activist, Rajat Kalsan handed over the copy of the controversial video to them. He claimed that the actress has used derogatory words against the Scheduled Caste community in her video. The FIR has been registered at Hansi City police station after a proper investigation by Cyber cell.
The video also had Yuvika’s husband and Bigg Boss 9 winner Prince Narula in it. Soon after the video caught the eye of social media users, Yuvika found herself trending for all the wrong reasons. The outraged users started a trend which read #ArrestYuvikaChoudhary on twitter. In her apology, Yuvika said, “Hi guys I didn’t know the meaning about that word what I used in my last vlog I didn’t mean to hurt anyone and I can never do that to hurt someone and I apologize to each N everyone I hope you understand love all (sic).” She later shared a video also to beg pardon for using words that hurt the sentiments of a certain section of society.
The actress got into acting with a talent hunting show, Zee Cine stars ki khoj, after which she was seen in a music video and later in the Bollywood movie, Om Shanti Om alongside Shah Rukh khan. She appeared in the 9th season of the famous reality show Bigg Boss.
