The public feud between comedians Samay Raina and Sunil Pal has taken another turn after Samay dismissed Pal’s claim that he had rejected a ₹25 lakh offer to appear on India’s Got Latent Season 2. Responding with his trademark sarcasm, Samay took to Instagram Stories to label the claim “fake news”, leaving fans amused and reigniting their long-running rivalry.
The latest exchange comes a day after Sunil Pal alleged that Samay had approached him to be a guest on the second season of India’s Got Latent and offered him ₹25 lakh. According to Pal, he declined the offer because he was unwilling to use abusive language on the show.

Speaking to paparazzi, Sunil claimed he told Samay, “Main gaali nahi dunga” (I won’t use abusive language). He further alleged that Samay replied he didn’t have to swear himself, but the rest of the show would continue in its usual style. Pal maintained that he ultimately refused the offer because it went against his principles and the kind of comedy he believes in.
Samay, however, has now rubbished the entire story.
Sharing a screenshot of a news report about Sunil’s statement on his Instagram Stories, the comedian wrote, “Fake news,” followed by laughing and crying emojis. He then added another sarcastic remark: “Sunil Pal ko ₹25 lakh?” suggesting that the very idea of offering Pal such an amount was unbelievable. The post quickly went viral across social media, with fans praising Samay’s deadpan humour.

The exchange has once again highlighted the ongoing friction between the two comedians, which dates back to the controversy surrounding India’s Got Latent in 2025. Following the backlash over comments made on the show’s first season, Sunil Pal emerged as one of its strongest critics. He repeatedly accused Samay of promoting vulgarity and argued that stand-up comedy should not rely on profanity to entertain audiences.
Over the past year, Sunil has taken several public digs at Samay, even suggesting that the younger comedian should learn “clean comedy” from established performers such as Kapil Sharma. On multiple occasions, he has criticised the language used on India’s Got Latent and questioned why abusive humour has become so popular among younger audiences.
Ironically, despite being one of the show’s harshest critics, Sunil’s latest claim suggested that he had been invited to participate in the new season. Samay’s denial has now cast doubt on that assertion, with neither side providing any evidence to support their respective versions of events.

Meanwhile, India’s Got Latent Season 2 continues to remain in the spotlight. The new season has already featured celebrity guests including Alia Bhatt and Sharvari, while recent episodes have also welcomed television personalities such as Haarsh Limbachiyaa, Kiku Sharda and Chandan Prabhakar. Despite attracting criticism over its style of humour, the show continues to generate significant online engagement.
