She recalled that her husband, veteran actor Govinda, whom she affectionately referred to as Chee-Chee had advised her against participating in the reality show. According to Sunita, every time she ignored his advice, she ended up regretting it. Sunita was particularly upset over the quality and quantity of food available in the house. She questioned whether contestants were expected to “beg for food” and complained that everyone in the house was hungry. Visibly emotional, she refused to have breakfast and declined to participate in a task through which contestants could earn their morning meal by answering questions correctly.

She insisted that she wanted to leave the show, saying that if falling ill was the only way to exit the competition, she would rather accept that than continue under the current circumstances. Actor Ram Kapoor, who had also skipped a meal, tried to console Sunita as she became increasingly emotional. Later, when Riteish Deshmukh entered the house to conduct another task, Sunita requested that she be evicted from the show.

Fighting back tears, she told the host that she had suffered a severe emotional breakdown and did not feel capable of continuing in the competition. Riteish responded by hugging Sunita and comforting her as she cried. Before entering the reality show, Sunita had spoken about her decision to participate, revealing that she agreed because of producer Ekta Kapoor and her admiration for Netflix. She had also expressed confidence that she would connect well with contestants who were honest, adding that the show’s theme of “Truth or Punishment” appealed to her straightforward personality.
