Bollywood actress Swara Bhasker has reacted sharply to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent “dimaagi naxal” remark, questioning the language being used for people who disagree with the government. Swara, who is known for her outspoken political views, said the new term reminded her of labels such as “tukde-tukde gang” that had earlier become part of political discourse. The controversy began after Prime Minister Narendra Modi referred to the threat posed by what he described as “dimaagi naxal” thinking during his Independence Day address from the Red Fort.
