Shakira appears shattered but rises strong as she blasts out her ex-husband Gerard Pique and his rumoured girlfriend Clara Chia.

In June 2022, she asked for separation from her husband of 11 years, Gerard Pique, alleging infidelity. Yet it never seemed that Barcelona FC defender Gerard Pique was guilty of infidelity on his 11-year marriage to Shakira.

The songwriter and singer lost her cool after seeing an Instagram image with Pique and Clara all cosy and snuggled up, which prompted her to express how women these days knock down other women instead of elevating them, which clearly refers to Clara Chia, with whom her ex-husband cheated.

Shakira slammed Gerard Pique during an interview with journalist Enrique Acevedo on the Mexican channel Canal Estrellas. She called herself, ‘self-sufficient’ once she discovered that she was ‘bought into the idea that a woman required a guy to be whole’.

“There is this quote… that I love, and it says, ‘There is a special place in hell for women who don’t support women,” she continued, quoting former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright.

“I also dreamed of having a family where mom and dad were living under one roof with their children.” she said.

In an interview to Daily Mail, she summarized how the world is changing, where women are pitted against one another on the battlefield, adding that when women confront life’s hardships, they emerge stronger. She feels whole since she relies on herself, and she has two children who rely on her, therefore she must be stronger than a lioness.

The Hips Don’t Lie singer stated that losing, embracing problems, and realising that you don’t always achieve what you want in life gave her strength.

“There are broken dreams, and you have to pick up the pieces and make yourself whole again, as well as be a role model for your children,” Shakira stated.

For the unversed, The pair ended their decade-long romance and announced their separation in June 2022, surprising fans. Though they were not married, the pair had been together for 11 years and had two boys, Milan, 9, and Sasha, 7.
