Boney Kapoor Indirectly Blames Akshay Kumar For Bollywood’s Downfall

Famous Producer Boney Kapoor and actress Jahnvi Kapoor are currently in news because of their film ‘Mili’. The father-daughter duo are leaving no stone unturned in promoting their film. Amid the film’s promotions, Boney Kapoor’s latest statement on Bollywood’s downfall has created a controversy in the film world.

The famous producer has indirectly taunted Akshay Kumar for completing movies in 30-40 days, resulting in the film’s failure. This incident took place at the Kapil Sharma Show when Boney Kapoor along with daughter Jahnvi Kapoor had come to promote ‘Mili’. The Indian Producer got furious over a question about the downfall of Bollywood on the show. Taking a jibe at Khiladi Kumar, he said, “25 – 30 din mein film khatam karni hai, heroine apne matlab ki chahiye hai, director apne hisab ka hona chahiye aur paise bhi poore chahiye”

Boney Kapoor didn’t stop here but also went on to abuse on national television. Talking about the Indian directors, he said, “Aaj Bollywood directors bol rahe hain ki Content is the king hamara content acha hai aray L…D content achha hai”. Well, Akshay Kumar and other Bollywood celebrities have yet not reacted to Boney’s controversial statement.

Talking about ‘Mili‘, then Jahnvi Kapoor, Sunny Kaushal and Manoj Pahwa played the lead characters in the movie. It is the Hindi remake of a Malayalam language film, Helen. This 30-crore budget movie is co-produced by Boney Kapoor and Zee Studios.

Earlier, Jahnvi Kapoor had revealed that she gave a nod for ’Mili’ because her father got emotional and started crying on the phone. She has also shared the difficulties she faced during the film’s shooting. The ‘Dhadak’ actress revealed how she shot 30% of the film by eating painkillers.

‘Mili’ was released on 4th November and is not getting the expected reviews from viewers. The film has earned around 5 crores in its first weekend and is heading for a flop tag.
