‘Can’t Stop Anyone From Making Something’: Ramanand Sagar’s Son Prem Sagar On Adipurush

There is a debate all over the country regarding Om Raut’s film Adipurush. The film is constantly being accused of hurting religious sentiments. On the occasion of Navratri, the team of Adipurush went to Ayodhya and launched the teaser of the film and since then there has been a ruckus about Adipurush. The film was also compared to Ramanand Sagar’s Ramayana in 1987.

Popular actors of Ramayana like Arun Govil, Dipika Chikhlia and Sunil Lahiri have so far expressed their objection to the film. After this, the reaction of Ramanand Sagar’s son Prem Sagar has also come to the fore.

Whenever something has been made about Ram and Sita, whether it is a film or TV, every time he has to see comparison with Ramanand Sagar’s Ramayana. Now the name of Adipurush has also been included in this episode. Talking to ETimes, Prem Sagar supported Om Raut and said that how can you stop someone from making something? Religion changes with time and Om Raut did what he thought was right.

Without taking Om Raut’s side, he further said, Om Raut has not called his film Ramayana. Along with this, he has not done anything wrong according to his own opinion. If there was anything wrong with the film, he would have cancelled it himself because of his upbringing and culture.

Adipurush stars Prabhas, Kriti Sanon and Saif Ali Khan in lead roles. Prabhas- Raghav, Kriti- Janki and Saif- Lankesh. After the release of the teaser, Adipurush was trolled badly due to the VFX of the film. At the same time, later the matter also reached the characters of the film.

Saif’s look, playing the role of Ravana, was compared to that of the Mughal ruler Khilji. The demand for boycott of the film is also rising on social media. In such a situation, what will be the future of Adipurush, made in a budget of about 500 crores, only time will decide.
