Indian Idol 12 Contestant Accused Of Scamming; She Says, ‘Account Was Hacked’

Anjali Gaikwad, a participant on Indian Idol 12, was recently accused of fraud. Harami Parindey, a Twitter influencer, said that the musician was attempting to hack his account and defraud him for money. However, starting on April 2, Anjali has stated that her Instagram account has been hijacked.

In an interview with Hindustan Times, an Indian Idol 12 contestant addressed the allegations. Her Instagram account has been hacked for the past 20-21 days, she revealed. According to reports, the singer was also contacted by the hacker, who demanded a ransom of Rs 70,000 to regain access to her account. According to the article, Gaikwad has already filed a complaint with the cyber security office and is waiting for a response.

Anjali Gaikwad said, “My Instagram account has been hacked. It’s been 20-21 days. I don’t know how he did it. The hacker also called me and asked for a ransom of 70,000. ‘Paise do aur account lelo’, aisa mujhe call aaya. A few days later I even reported it to the cybercrime. But there is no update on it yet.”

The singer added, “The hacker also started asking for money from a lot of people. Many are thinking that I’m asking them for money. People are thinking I’m tricking them. I have been quite disturbed. I’m receiving a lot of emails and messages from people. I’m clearing it with everyone individually. Some people are calling me fraud while a few are understanding that it’s been hacked.”

Anjali Gaikwad rose to prominence after appearing on the singing reality television show Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Little Champs 2017. She and co-contestant Shreyan Bhattacharya shared the prize as a common winner. After that, she became a contestant on Sony TV’s Indian Idol 12. Her sweet, beautiful voice wowed the judges.
