Ali Zafar addressed the issue in a video shared on social media, questioning the mindset behind judging women purely on their appearance. He said men often behave as though they have the right to decide whether a woman’s body is still “desirable” and to put her down if she does not fit standards created by society. The actor also urged people to look inward rather than constantly criticise others. According to Ali, everyone is dealing with their own struggles, and people should approach one another with greater kindness, compassion and understanding.

He also spoke about the unrealistic expectations placed on men, pointing out that expecting every man to maintain a lean physique or six-pack abs is not necessarily realistic or healthy. His larger argument was that people should not be reduced to their appearance. Beauty standards have changed repeatedly over the years, he noted, making it unreasonable to treat one particular body type as the permanent definition of attractiveness.
