Bollywood actress Nargis Fakhri garnered a huge fan following after her first film itself. The actress proved that she is not only beautiful but has an immense amount of talent as well. This year, Fakhri will complete her ten years in the Hindi film industry. In the upcoming November, her debut film i.e. Imtiaz Ali’s Rockstar with Ranbir Kapoor will mark its ten years. In these ten years, Nargis has done films like Madras Café, Main Tera Hero, Azhar, Housefull 3, Banjo, etc.
Besides films, Nargis had been in the headlines for her alleged relationship with actor-producer Uday Chopra. Though the two never came admitted it in public, it was quite clear from the pictures of them holidaying together. Now, years after her break-up with Chopra, Nargis has finally accepted that she dated him once. In a recent interview with ETimes, the actress came on record to admit the same and to reveal that she was asked to keep their relationship hidden from the media and their fans.
Nargis, who has recently broken up with her boyfriend Justin Santos, finds Uday a ‘beautiful soul’. She confessed, “Uday and I dated for five years and he was the most beautiful human I met in India. I never have said this to the press as people told me to keep my relationship quiet, but I regret that because I should have shouted from the mountain tops that I was with such a beautiful soul. The internet and social media are very fake and the people out there won’t know what the truth is. Most often we idolize certain people who are actually bad behind closed doors.”
Reports of Nargis and Uday’s affair first surfaced in 2014 but the two kept denying it every time. In an interview with a leading daily, Nargis, who was fed up with the news of her love life doing rounds more than her film releases, had said, “I am repeating myself: Uday and I aren’t dating each other. But he will always remain a part of my life. I have very few friends in India, and I feel fortunate that he’s one of them.”
Talking about her equation with Santos, Nargis has revealed that though they have grown apart, they will remain friends. Nargis and Justin’s mushy pictures on social media made her fans rooting for the couple. But fate had other plans. The two broken up due to reasons best known to them.
During the pandemic, the actress is spending her time in the United States. She is in touch with some of her industry friends like Varun Dhawan, Ileana D’Cruz, and Huma Qureshi. “I keep in touch with Varun (Dhawan), Ileana (D’Cruz), and Huma (Qureshi) but mostly through Instagram. Recently when I was in Texas, I had lunch with Ileana. When Huma was in LA we hiked together and had lunch too” she said.
