Social media personality Orhan Awatramani, popularly known as Orry, has once again targeted YouTuber Dhruv Rathee, reigniting a feud that has been simmering for months. During a recent podcast appearance, Orry referred to Rathee as “anti-national” and accused him of selectively choosing topics that suit his narrative, remarks that have once again triggered strong reactions online.
The comments were made during an interview ahead of Orry’s participation in the upcoming season of the reality show Khatron Ke Khiladi. While discussing social media personalities and online content creators, Orry criticised Rathee’s style of commentary and questioned his motivations for covering certain issues. According to clips from the interview that have gone viral, Orry alleged that Rathee focuses only on topics that fit a particular agenda.

The remarks quickly spread across social media platforms, generating debate among supporters and critics of both personalities. Many users shared excerpts from the interview, while others revisited previous exchanges between Orry and Rathee to understand the origins of their disagreement.
This is not the first time Orry has publicly criticised the popular YouTuber. The two first became linked in a controversy late last year when Rathee released a video discussing cosmetic procedures and beauty standards in Bollywood. The video featured several actresses, including Janhvi Kapoor, and examined the growing culture of cosmetic enhancements within the film industry.
At the time, Orry came to the defence of Janhvi Kapoor, who is one of his closest friends. Responding to discussions around Rathee’s video, Orry had dismissed the YouTuber and referred to him as an “anti-nationalist.” He also suggested that Kapoor was unlikely to even know who Rathee was. His comments attracted considerable attention and sparked a fresh round of online arguments between supporters of Bollywood celebrities and followers of the political commentator.
The latest remarks suggest that Orry’s opinion of Rathee has not changed. In the recent interview, he repeated similar accusations and even revealed a nickname he claims to use for the YouTuber, adding another controversial layer to the ongoing public spat.
Dhruv Rathee remains one of India’s most influential digital creators, with millions of subscribers across YouTube and social media platforms. Known for his videos on politics, current affairs, social issues and media criticism, Rathee has often found himself at the centre of public debates. His supporters view him as an independent commentator who raises important questions, while critics accuse him of ideological bias and selective reporting.

Orry, meanwhile, has carved out a unique place in India’s entertainment ecosystem. Originally known for his close friendships with several Bollywood celebrities, he has transformed himself into a social media phenomenon through reality shows, public appearances and an unconventional online persona. Over the past few years, he has become one of the most recognisable influencers in the country despite not fitting into any traditional entertainment category.
The timing of Orry’s comments has also drawn attention because of his upcoming appearance on Khatron Ke Khiladi. The stunt-based reality show is expected to introduce him to a much broader television audience, and clips from his recent interviews have already begun generating buzz around his participation.

So far, Rathee has not publicly responded to Orry’s latest comments. However, given the attention the remarks have received, the controversy has once again placed both figures at the centre of a broader conversation about social media influence, political commentary and celebrity culture in India.
