About the Cocktail 2 Movie
Speaking about the film, Rashmika said it combines romance, friendship, heartbreak and drama. Addressing comparisons with the original Cocktail, featuring Deepika Padukone, Saif Ali Khan and Diana Penty, she explained that the new movie is merely a spiritual or vibe-based sequel. It does not share any storyline, characters, plot elements or narrative links with the earlier hit film.

Contrary to earlier rumours, the team clarified that the film does not feature a lesbian angle between its female leads. Curiosity about the storyline continues to grow, with fans sharing theories across social media platforms. However, the makers and cast have remained tight-lipped, choosing to keep key plot details under wraps.
The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) recently cleared the film with an ‘A’ certificate. The movie received an adults-only rating and has a runtime of two hours and thirty minutes. The certification allows its theatrical release exclusively for mature audiences across India. The film releases in theatres on June 19, with advance bookings now open, allowing audiences to reserve tickets ahead nationwide.
