Producers Scouting For Deepika Padukone’s Replacement In Remake Of The Intern Next To Amitabh Bachchan?

Deepika Padukone has made headlines for her role in the Hindi remake of the Hollywood thriller The Intern. A few years ago, the remake of Anne Hathaway and Robert De Niro’s 2015 comedic hit was revealed. Since then, there have been a lot of expectations among fans. Following Rishi Kapoor’s death, the producers enlisted Amitabh Bachchan to step in for the renowned actor. However, according to a recent report in Bollywood Hungama, Deepika may no longer be a part of the remake of The Intern.

The cast of the Intern remake is also being reshuffled, according to the report. Fans awaited the reunion of Deepika and Amitabh, who played father and daughter in Shoojit Sircar’s Piku, after Kapoor’s demise. According to reports, Deepika has been shown the departure door, while Big B will remain in the film. According to the source, the producers are now seeking a replacement for Deepika, and Parineeti Chopra’s name has come up. This development, however, has yet to get official confirmation.
