However, an incident from his appearance on The Kapil Sharma Show has once again proven why he is adored by fans and colleagues alike. In a recent interview, actress Upasana Singh revealed how Shah Rukh completely flipped the script during a comedy skit—leaving both her and host Kapil Sharma stunned.

Upasana Singh, who played the iconic character ‘Pinky Bua’ on the show, shared the behind-the-scenes moment during a conversation with a youtuber. According to her, Kapil had briefed Shah Rukh Khan to follow the skit’s usual format, where Pinky Bua gets humorously insulted and rejected. The jokes often revolved around her character’s exaggerated traits and lack of romantic success.

However, Shah Rukh wasn’t comfortable with the idea. He reportedly questioned the script, asking why he should insult Upasana or call her unattractive. Despite being told it was just part of the act, he chose not to follow that direction. Upasana recalled that Shah Rukh Khan politely refused to deliver the scripted insults.

Instead, he maintained his respectful demeanor, saying he couldn’t bring himself to speak negatively about her, even in a comedic setting. She explained that while actors knew their own lines, guest appearances often involved improvisation, making the segment unpredictable. As per the original plan, Shah Rukh was supposed to reject Pinky Bua.

But during the shoot, when Upasana’s character flirted with him and proposed marriage, the actor responded in the exact opposite way, he agreed. The playful exchange escalated humorously, with Shah Rukh continuing to reciprocate Pinky’s affection rather than rejecting her. The entire sequence unfolded in reverse, creating a spontaneous and hilarious moment.
