It can be caste, creed, colour, gender and age fall in the same category. So I didn’t see that it was a big deal. I mean that was the exciting part, which I am not.”

Another reason Shefali Shah gave for playing the role of mother in the film Waqt was that she wanted to work with Amitabh Bachchan and Vipul Shah (now husband of the actress), for which she decided to do this role. Shefali Shah said, “I really liked the script of the film and my role. Earlier, I had played the role of a mother in the TV show Hasraten. So I didn’t think too much about it for me.”
