Twilight Saga Be Adapted For Television Series?

TV series adaptations of the Twilight novel series are in the works, Variety reports.

As a result of HBO’s confirmation, the hugely popular Harry Potter novels will finally be adapted into a TV series.

According to recent developments, popular entertainment company Lionsgate is eager to adapt the Twilight novels into a television series, and their TV division has already begun negotiations.

According to Variety, Wyck Godfrey and Erik Feig have been hired as executive producers. Those unfamiliar with Feig might be interested to know he was a former co-president of the Lionsgate Motion Picture Group.

The five Twilight films were produced, however, by Godfrey’s own production company, Temple Hill.

A Twilight TV series will be executive produced by former Lionsgate Motion Picture Group president Erik Feig and Wyck Godfrey who both worked on the film adaptations.

Twilight became an international phenomenon thanks to successful film adaptations starring Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, and Taylor Lautner. The film franchise grossed over $3.4 billion worldwide and turned its young cast members into stars.

About Twilight

Stephenie Meyer’s romantic fantasy novels follow the life of Bella Swan, a teenage girl who moves to Forks, Washington, to live with her father, Charlie Swan.

She falls head over heels for Edward Cullen, a charismatic and mysterious classmate who turns out to be a vampire. In the meantime, Bella’s best friend, Jacob Black, transforms into a werewolf.

On the tenth anniversary of Twilight, Meyer released Life and Death: Twilight Reimagined, a spin-off series in which the protagonists switched genders.

Later that year, in 2020, she released another book, Midnight Sun, which retold the story from Edward Cullen’s point of view.

While it is unknown who will play the lead roles, fans are already anticipating the return of Twilight to their screens. Keep an eye out for updates on this fascinating project.
