Yash-starrer ‘Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups’ has landed in the middle of a legal controversy soon after its theatrical release. A YouTuber has shared a screenshot of a legal notice allegedly sent by the film’s team over online content related to the movie. Toxic Sent Legal Notice to YouTuber
A day after the film’s release, YouTuber Suraj Kumar claimed that he received a legal notice from representatives associated with the movie. Suraj shared a screenshot of the notice on social media along with an email allegedly sent by Bengaluru-based company Aplex Software Private Limited. According to the communication, the notice was issued on behalf of KVN Monster Mind Creations LLP, described in the notice as the film’s producer and copyright owner.

According to the notice shared by Suraj, certain digital and online content related to ‘Toxic’ had been identified across internet platforms. The communication reportedly listed URLs where the allegedly negative or defamatory material was available. The listed links reportedly included videos posted by Suraj ahead of the film’s theatrical release. The YouTuber had also shared his views about the movie online and had praised Aditya Dhar, the filmmaker associated with ‘Dhurandhar’.

Reacting to the notice, Suraj posted the screenshot on X and sarcastically thanked the ‘Toxic’ team for sending him a legal notice over his review. The notice reportedly states that Aplex Software has been authorised to undertake legal and technical measures on behalf of the filmmakers. These measures may include sending notices to internet service providers, search engines, social media platforms, domain registrars and hosting companies.

The firm has also reportedly been authorised to request removal of content, seek de-indexing of specific links from search engines and pursue blocking measures where applicable. The development comes shortly after a Bengaluru court reportedly issued an ex-parte interim injunction concerning allegedly false or defamatory content related to ‘Toxic’. According to a PTI report, the Additional City Civil and Sessions Court passed the interim order on August 22 following a lawsuit filed by KVN Productions LLP. Several parties, including X Corp, were reportedly named as defendants, along with an unidentified person listed as ‘John Doe’.
