Bollywood actor Abhishek Bachchan is away from the industry for quite some time but he has not given up on acting. The talented performer is keeping the audience hooked with his digital offerings. His upcoming web series, Breathe: Into the Shadows Season 2, which is a crime thriller, will see him portraying the role of Dr Avinash Sabharwal. In a recent interaction, Jr. Bachchan talked about how his entire family is excited to watch the new season of his web show except for his mom Jaya Bachchan. He revealed that the actress-turned-politician does not like violence and so, she will refrain from joining the family for the premiere of his show.

Elaborating on how Jaya’s action is proof that his show is a good thriller, Abhishek said, “The true testimony that we have made a good thriller is that my mother refuses to watch it. She was like ‘nahi mujhe ye sab nahi dekhna hai (I do not want to watch all this), she gets scared. My family will wait till midnight of November 8 to watch it, barring my mother. My mother prefers to go and watch something else. She doesn’t like that kind of aggression and violence. So she prefers to go to parliament where none of that happens.”

Talking about his father Amitabh Bachchan’s reaction to his show, he said that he is biased, and when he saw the last season, he binge-watched it. “We’ve been busy promoting and he (Amitabh) gets excited about everything we put out for the new season. He’s invested and excited,” stated Abhishek.

Breathe: Into The Shadows 2 also stars Amit Sadh, Naveen Kasturia, and Saiyami Kher. It is helmed by Mayank Sharma and will be streamed on Amazon Prime Video from November 9, 2022. Before this, Abhishek Bachchan starred in the Netflix movie Dasvi alongside Yami Gautam and Nimrat Kaur. He will next collaborate with his Paa director, R Balki for a film titled Ghoomer opposite Saiyami Kher.
