The self-proclaimed film critic Kamaal Rashid Khan aka KRK is known for giving controversial reviews on Bollywood films. He is out rightly blunt with his views on films and celebrities. But seems like his nature has caused him serious trouble. Recently, the actor has got arrested by Malad Police over his controversial tweet in 2020. As per the sources, Police detained KRK as soon as he landed at Mumbai Airport. He will be presented before Borivali court today.

Talking about the FIR which was filed against the former Bigg Boss contestant in 2020 over his questionable tweet on late actors Rishi Kapoor and Irrfan Khan, the petitioner has said that KRK is spreading hatred with his words on the social media platform.

An official was quoted by PTI as saying, “We have registered an FIR against Kamaal R Khan for making derogatory remarks about both the deceased actors under section 294 (punishment for obscene acts or words in public) and other provisions of the IPC.”

The complaint was filed by Yuva Sena member Rahul Kanal. “Kamal R Khan has been arrested today on my complaint. I welcome this move by the Mumbai police. He makes derogatory comments on social media and uses foul language. Such kind of behavior is unacceptable in society. By arresting him, Mumbai police has sent out a strong message against such people,” said Rahul.

A few days ago, KRK was at the receiving end of netizens for his tweet that stated about Virat Kohli’s mental health. He blamed Anushka Sharma for ‘putting in his head’ that he is suffering from depression. After facing backlash, he later deleted the tweet.

Kamaal R Khan has acted in several Bollywood films like Deshdrohi, Ek Villain, etc.
