“I am a Muslim And No One Can Stop Us From Our Rights,” Counters Gauhar Khan Against Trolls

Gauahar Khan is one of those Bollywood actresses who are known for expressing their opinion on several issues related to the industry. She has also often expressed her opinion freely on the social and political issues of the country. Likewise, she has given a befitting reply to those who trolled her. In fact, a social media user on Twitter, while parrying the Uniform Civil Court, tweeted about the Muslim and Hindu community. After seeing this, Gauahar Khan got furious and gave a befitting reply to the user.

The social media user wrote in his tweet, ‘Outside world doesn’t know that India still has separate family laws for Hindus&Muslims. Hindus have to abide by secular code. Muslims can have 4 wives &ban education for their wives &girls in name of Sharia. #UniformCivilCode has to apply to ALL Indians.”

To this, Gauahar Khan wrote, ”I am a Muslim, and nobody can ban us from having our rights, India is secular, it is a democracy, not a dictatorship like you would desire! So stay put in the comfort of your American status, stop inciting hate in my country!”

This tweet has been garnering a lot of traction on social media.

Talking about Gauahar Khan’s films, she was seen working in a short film Sorry Bhaisab. She appeared in a completely different style in the film.

‘Sorry Bhaisab’ was streamed on Amazon MiniTV on 16th December and received a mixed response from the audience. Sharib Hashmi, who garnered praise for playing the role of JK, Srikant Tiwari’s partner in the web series The Family Man 2 alongside Gauahar Khan in the film Sorry Bhaisab, was in the lead role. The director and writer of this film are Suman Adhikari and Sumit Ghildiyal, while the film is produced by Arre Studios.
