In the film, veteran actor Chunky Panday played her estranged husband, despite a nearly 30-year age gap between the two. Additionally, Ajay Devgn, who starred opposite her, is also significantly older than the actress. Mrunal admitted that this unexpected casting choice impacted her role and expectations from the film.

Speaking candidly, the actress shared that she felt disappointed upon discovering the casting details. She explained that the situation affected her understanding of the character and storyline, saying that it wasn’t what she had initially envisioned. However, she clarified that she holds no regrets and has moved forward from the experience.

Mrunal Thakur also revealed that some of her most important emotional scenes were cut from the final version of the film. One such scene involved actress Roshni Walia, who played her stepdaughter. According to Mrunal, the scene carried significant emotional weight and showcased her character’s sacrifices and bond with the child.

However, the entire sequence was reportedly removed during the editing process, which further reduced the depth of her role. Meanwhile, Mrunal’s latest film Dacoit: A Love Story, co-starring Adivi Sesh, has had a slow start at the box office, earning around ₹27.05 crore domestically in its first week. Despite the numbers, the actress continues to actively promote the film and engage with fans.
