Shehzada, directed by Rohit Dhawan, is Kartik Aaryan’s next film with Bhushan Kumar after the 100 crore triumph of Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. Bhushan Kumar, Allu Aravind, and Aman Gill collaborated on the film.

The film stars Kriti Sanon as the female protagonist, with Paresh Rawal, Ronit, and Manisha Koirala among the supporting cast. Kartik Aaryan and Bhushan Kumar spoke candidly about Shehzada in an exclusive interview with Pinkvilla.

Being an official adaptation of Allu Arjun’s Ala Vaikunthapuramuloo, Kartik Aaryan says, “It’s an adaptation and not a remake. I think our director, Rohit, has adapted it beautifully for the Hindi audience. It is one of those films that has a very wide appeal among the audiences. I am really excited and looking forward to the film. People will get to see me in this complete avatar of action and comedy for the first time and I can’t speak much about it right now, We are ready to bring it on November 4.”

Shehzada, like Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, is an out-and-out family entertainer, according to Bhushan Kumar. This one is a mass film, or let’s say a full-on mass entertainer. You will get to see Kartik in an action avatar. We have got action, music and romance in a terrific film. We both are very excited to release it on November 4.”

Kartik Aaryan recently spoke up about working on the Telugu version in an interview with Film Companion, saying that he doesn’t feel any extra pressure. He also complimented Rohit Dhawan for his work and spoke highly of South superstar Allu Arjun’s performance in Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo.

During the interview, Kartik said, “I just don’t take that pressure. I am not thinking about should I do something that is exactly what has been done over there (South Industry). Those questions don’t bother me…I loved working with Rohit Dhawan.” He further said that he enjoyed every bit of shooting Shehzada with Rohit Dhawan. “He is like my brother and the way he has given his all to the film…I don’t think there would be any other director who would justice to this film as Rohit has…He added his own elements,” Kartik added.

Apart from Shehzada, Kartik’s next films include Freddy, Captain India, and a yet-to-be-titled romantic comedy produced by Sajid Nadiadwala. After Lukka Chuppi, Kartik and Kriti will reunite in Shehzada.
