Ravi Dubey Opens Up On His Fallout With Nia Sharma In Past, Says They Handled It With Grace And Professionalism

Ravi Dubey has been away from acting for a while now. The actor is trying with hosting and music videos at present. Dubey gained recognition after playing the lead in Zee TV’s popular show Jamai Raja where he was paired opposite Nia Sharma. During the show, several stories related to the lead pair not being able to see eye to eye on sets did make rounds in the media.

Recently, Ravi has opened up on the same. He has talked about his infamous fallout with Nia Sharma during the shoot of their show.

In a recent interview, the actor has reflected back on his fight with Nia and said they both handled the grey phase in their relationship with a lot of grace and professionalism. Ravi also said that he and Nia never let their differences affect their chemistry on screen.

Ravi while talking with Bollywood Bubble recalled his flight with Nia and said, “It’s just by the virtue of working together for all these years. Both me and Nia, we handled that grey area in our relationship with a lot of grace and professionalism. It never showed on the screen that we weren’t necessarily talking to each other.”

He further added, “I think it was largely to do with how we would approach work. I am highly rehearsal-obsessed but Nia is a very spontaneous actor, which works in her favor beautifully. I don’t know how that friction started, I don’t have a clear memory of it, but I am guessing this would be the reason.”

Both Ravi and Nia later sorted out their differences. In fact, Nia Sharma is now one of the few people Ravi is ‘fondest’ of in the television fraternity. The actor appreciates Nia for being honest and transparent without caring about what other people would think. “But now, Nia is the one person in the industry that I am the fondest of and I think she has this candid, uninhibited nature, which is very rare. People mostly project something which is a more likeable version of themselves, Nia ke baare mein sabse achchi baat jo hai woh hai ki (Nia’s best quality is that) she doesn’t care,” he said.

Earlier, Nia Sharma told the leading daily that she and Ravi were so rude to each other at one point that they were ‘ready to kill each other’. She also said that Zee TV, where their show Jamai Raja used to air, had to intervene and cool down the heat between them.

After Jamai Raja, Ravi and Nia appeared in the same season of Khatron Ke Khiladi too. They starred in the second season of Jamai Raja titled Jamai 2.0, a digital spin-off of their show, which was released earlier this year on Zee5.
