Vijay Devarakonda’s Reason For Wearing Chappals At Liger Trailer Launch Will Make You Adore Him Even More!

South sensation Vijay Deverakonda will soon set his foot in Bollywood with the film Liger. The trailer of the upcoming movie was released recently. From Ranveer Singh appearing as a special guest to Vijay wearing chappals on such an important occasion, the trailer launch event which happened recently became the talk of the town.

Many people were contemplating why Vijay chose to wear casual chappals for such a massive event. Seems like the answer to all those fans’ questions has come. As per his stylist, the Liger star didn’t just choose to come in a simple look by chance. He specifically asked to wear them for the event.

Revealing the reason behind the Telugu star’s choice of clothes for Liger trailer launch, his stylist Harmann Kaur told a leading daily, “I was all prepped to make it really top-notch chill until Vijay called me one day and said let’s be closest to the character and keep a very underdog look. He specifically asked me for the basic chappals and initially, I was a little hesitant but I also always trust Vijay’s dressing up ideas because I know he ends up making it the talk of the country.”

“I was constantly nervous as the event was on a big scale, especially in Mumbai, and walking in wearing chappals worth Rs 199 was really brave of Vijay but I’m glad it was received with a lot of love,” Harmann continued.

Vijay’s simple yet eye-catching look stole the limelight from the oh-so handsome Ranveer Singh. The latter was also heard complimenting Arjun Reddy star for carrying the same. He said, “After John Abraham, if anyone has pulled off the style and swag of chappals, then it’s him.”

Talking about the first glimpses of Liger, the 2-minute-long trailer of the flick seems to be gripping. It shows Vijay performing some action and fight sequences effortlessly. His chemistry with Ananya is making viewers restless. The film is directed by Puri Jagannadh and it will hit the theatres on August 25, 2022.
