The VJ-turned actress Divya Agarwal, on Saturday, lifted the coveted title of first Bigg Boss OTT winner. Inside the house, Divya did not share a great rapport with most of the contestants. In fact, the talented girl has played her game on her own. She stood like a lone warrior most of the time. In a show which was all about making connections, Divya survived without making any. In Karan Johar’s words, Divya was like a ‘Tigress in the woods.’ Her journey was no less than a roller coaster ride. Divya had many fights inside the controversial house of Bigg Boss. Her animosity with co-contestant Shamita Shetty caught most of the media attention.
After coming out, Divya has revealed how her boyfriend Varun Sood reacted to her Bigg Boss journey, why she could not make any meaningful bonds, and her take on the so-called love triangle between her, Raqesh Bapat and Shamita Shetty.
In an exclusive interview with News18 post her Bigg Boss win, Divya said, “In every show that I had been a part of before Bigg Boss, I had made a lot of friends. All the strong players were my friends already. In fact, I found Varun on a reality show. It happened for the first time when I had no friends on a show. I think somewhere I was also at fault. I came across a little intimidating at the beginning and I did it purposely because I thought they were my competitors. I went on a little arrogant side that ‘Excuse Me! I have done shows!’ So, when I came out all my family members, friends and Varun told me, ‘You were so arrogant. What was wrong with you?’ And I was like, ‘Nothing was wrong with me. It was a competition.’ I had to show them that I was stronger than them and I think I have done that job pretty well (laughs).”
Talking about her apparent love triangle with Raqesh and Shamita, Divya said, “Jo kar rahi hu wahi toh dikhega, actions speak louder than words. and I was like I don’t need to justify myself again and again that I have nothing for Raqesh. I was quite confident in our friendship that nothing can go wrong here, even I have a partner outside, even I have people outside waiting for me. It’s ridiculous that people were thinking something like that.”
For the unversed, Divya beat Nishant Bhatt and Shamita Shetty to emerge as the winner of Bigg Boss OTT. Nishant Bhat became the first runner-up while Shamita got the third position. Besides a trophy, Divya took home a cash prize of Rs. 25 lakhs. Previously, Divya has been part of other reality shows as well. She did Splitsvilla and later appeared and won the Ace of space trophy. Despite not getting support from the inmates, Divya’s army of fans stood like a rock for her outside and led her to win the historic title.
Whether or not she will be part of Salman Khan’s Bigg Boss 15 is still unclear. Salman is bringing the 15th season of Bigg Boss on October 2. Pratik Sehajpal is the first confirmed participant of the contentious reality show.
